Photo Observation #2

Attributes: Unsplash

Theme: Night Life

Description: I chose this photo because of the contrast of dark and light. I think the crowd of people against the warmth of the fireworks is striking and stood out to me. It reminds not necessarily of clubbing night life but of nostalgic nights with friends or family. I really enjoyed the silhouette in this picture.

Lighting Observation – #7

1. October 23rd at 6:30 at Hauppauge High School’s football field

2. Bight colorful explosions in a pitch black sky.

3. Every year, I attend the homecoming game at my old high school. At the close of the game the sky is illuminated with the most spectacular fireworks display you will ever see. The dark sky explodes into a mural of bright, stunning colors. Vibrant whites, exploding reds, lavish golds, and deep blues stream across the sky and paint the darkness with vivacious hues. The alluring display dazzles me and revives my sense of Hauppauge pride. It is these lively pyrotechnics that will always draw me back to every homecoming game at Hauppauge High School.

3) Night Life

4) What comes to life at night more than something that is only truly visible at night? Fireworks are literally explosions of light, sound, and color. What’s more lively than something that lights up and redefines a landscape. Fireworks are fun. There is something in them for everyone to appreciate. Little kids love the colors and are amazed at their existence. Teens hear the boom and are intrigued by the delay between light and sound. Adults remember all the great times they spent watching fireworks as kids. Nostalgia and amazement are what really make fireworks into a great nightime spectacle.

2. Dealer’s choice – fireworks

3. I started thinking about what we had not done in class and came up with fire. Which led me to sparklers, which led me to fireworks. Then I found this picture and I loved it. It is so bright and colorful just like fireworks are and so interesting. I love hoe the water reflects light and the colors of the fireworks as well as the tree. It is just so bright and saturated that I really like it. The lights over the beach are like an orange color so they add more color while the city in the background is all lit up. It is a very busy image light wise but that is why I like it. There is no natural lighting, it is all lights from all different sources with different colors and it is just plain awesome.
