Light Observation #4

1) 2/21/13, Emily Lowe Hall Room 106, 3:00PM

2) Through the small window on the door leading to the outside, I could see the green bristles of a tree and a bright blue recycling bin. The light shone right down on the green bristles, making it extremely bright and present against the blue recycling bin.

3) The day is cold, windy, and dreary. The light in the room is stagnant fluorescent light. Outside, in a small sanctuary, almost as a mirage appears in the desert, the light glows off the green tree outside. Despite the climate, the lifelessness of the fluorescent lights, the bright colors shine through and provide a feeling of warmth and life. I see the light reflecting off and it gives the appearance of a spring day. I could imagine birds flying, squirrels scurrying, and large amounts of activity outside, just by this small glimpse of green among the gray.
