Light Observation 2, Week 5

When/ Where:  Cabaret, midnight

Objective Description:  Shadow of light on back wall.

Subjective Description:  The shadow of this light (I mean an actual light fixture that’s hung above the stage, not light like from a bulb) was huge, it looked bigger than the people who were up on stage, which made it seem very foreboding and creepy.  The shadow looked like it wasn’t supposed to be there, so it gave me the feeling that it was shifted by mistake or something had gone wrong.

nightlife

1.)march 2nd at 5 am in Brooklyn NY
2.)this was on bedford ave in front of the bar The Charleston. There was one street light infront of the bar lighting up just the door.
3.)I chose this because it was the end of a night, and around the light of the door there was one beer bottle on an outdoor table. This was showing the loneliness of night life. Usually you feel excitement when someone describes nightlife. However in this one lighting moment i felt depressed.

1.)my pictures

2.)this is a girl who is out on the ground, however it reminded me of a girl passed out after a night of too much drinking.

2.)i picked this because it was similar to my weekly lighting moment. The lighting in the picture seems to be coming from a window in the early morning. Showing that she woke up by herself ..alone. This shows the negative part of nightlife.
