3) Vibrant, Saturated light
4) The red saturated light above spiderman looks like the horizon set for spiderman to ascend upon. It gives the room a darker and more ominous feel which also makes it look like a fire is occuring and Spiderman must save us all. Its very intense and dramatic, just like Spiderman the musical. The only difference is this spiderman is still up!
1.) 2/17/11- Approx. 10:45 pm- A street near my house in Queens
2.) A street lamp directly above a weeping willow type tree and some power cords
3.) A mini sun of ambery orange light spills over the long drawn branches, it’s almost eerie yet there’s something about the warmth of the silvery orange that feels happy and inviting. The tendrils reach out like grandma’s arms stretching to embrace you and bring you into that warmth. Yet, there’s conflict to the light as just above you cannot see but for the purple/ black sky that stretches on forever, which sets me on edge.
1) 2/16/11, at 8:30pm on Hempstead Turnpike
2) Objective: Police Light
3) Subjective: Nighttime on Hempstead turnpike, the traffic light is red but the brightest light and most obnoxious was the police light stopped behind my friends car. The lights shine through my window and cause a glare from the sunoco lights which drag my attention and cause me to turn away from the road if only for a second.
1) 2/15/2011, 9 PM in my apartment
2) OBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION: There is a desk lamp with a flourescent bulb pointed at my gaming computer, which has green cathodes and blue led fans. The computer is on, and the shadow cast on the wall is a mixture of the three colors, with the patterns of metal mesh to imply a grate texture.
3) SUBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION: Though the florescent bulb is very bright, it only dimly lights the computer across the room from me, and defines the outline of the computer. The windows on the computer’s case are shining blue in the shape of the fans, and green between them. It is as if the computer is mirrored on the wall in bright colors.
