under Light Observation
- Wednesday, January 30, 2019 – 5:08pm; my dorm room
- Shortly after the white out that had passed over us, I looked outside of my dorm window. The sun was partially set, with the sky a golden hue that stretched over the expanse of New York City in the distance. The last few rays of sunshine it would have for the day could still be seen scattered over the expanse of cars and snow that was on the ground. Street lights could be seen illuminated here and there, creating their own glow on the snow.
- I’ve lived in the same room since I started college. Even though the view is always the same, being able to see how different the sun’s light can be from day to day never ceases to put me in awe. Looking at the light, I felt as though I was wrapped in a hug by an old friend; despite it being something I see everyday, it still manages to feel different every time I see it, and it always makes me feel warm and comforted inside.
