- I like shadows because of their ability to be illusive and deceptive. My favorite shadows are the ones like this photo – advanced shadow puppets, taking one item and using it to create a completely different visual. I find it fascinating how the light is able to capture the image in a way that creates an entirely new image and idea. In a sense, it adds to the mystery of shadows, because it makes you wonder what other images can be created from seemingly one object through the manipulation of light.
