- DESCRIPTION: For these journals, I have been trying to use pictures that I take myself in order to attempt to transmit the feeling I get whenever I see the lighting from the landscapes. I love snow and the feeling it creates whenever you look at it. When I was analyzing the photo, I realized how much detail there is in order to make this whole scene of lighting happen. We have white and a little bit of dark colors. White on colors like dark green made the trees look even darker (almost black); whereas, with light brown the intensity of the color decreased which is why it makes the whole scene look cool and creates a cold feeling. I named it a “Snow Fairytale” because when I looked at this picture it reminded me of those love story Hallmark movies where the main characters fall in love and everything is perfect.
