3. This is Nightlife to me because I would always walk past Big Ben on the way back from the bars. I loved how the light would interact with the designs on the tower. the clock face always seemed to smile no matter what time of night it was.  🙂

I took this photo inside one of the courtyards at Hampton Court Palace in London.

Theme: Cold

Description: The dark, brooding clouds of grey swirling smoke hover ominously over the tall, dark branches reading desperately towards the sky. Silhouettes of surrounding trees offer no comfort as the warmth from the Sun’s rays diminishes between the murky overcast, and the drab, damp cement. A cold dampness hugs the tree with an icy pinch, giving way to the chulled tears from the sky’s frigid and brisk ducts. Streaks of pooled water gather at a diagonal just waiting to freeze over. Even the last remnants of light, are turning cold.

This is a photo I took during a late night visit to the London Eye early last month.

Theme: Night Life

Description: The neon lights burst opulent with a red and blue glow. The vibrant reflections soaked into the ground like that of a permeable sponge. The trees excitedly come to life as if woken from a long hibernation. Their shadows dance along the guided pathway revealing red circular orbits that trace the slow but ever-moving rim of the iconic eye. The dark sky is flooded with tints of red, further embellishing the explosive luster. The surrounding terrain acts as a canvas providing a foundation and the perfect stage for the night life of London.
