3) Theme: Hot

4) This picture signifies hot to me because just looking at the photo makes you think of a desert or a warm locations where the sun is shining. The sun is bright yellow and the sky is an orange color. Also, there is a huge glare that makes you blink if you look in the middle of the sun. This picture signifies hot because the sun raises the temperature outside during the day. It looks like this is a picture of a desert sky and the sun is finally starting to set after a long, hot day. Also, the different colors of the sky, reminds me of the color of fire, an amber like tone. All of these things, sun, fire, heat have to do with this week’s theme.

3) Theme: Powerful

4) This picture signifies powerful to me because whenever there is lightning, it strikes and makes a loud noise. This reminds me of a scene in a movie where people are on a boat and there’s a horrible storm going on. The characters are trying to get home or find land so they can save themselves. This is a shot I can see a director using to signify how bad the storm is. The lightning that is striking in this picture looks like it is hitting the ocean. The white light in the middle of the lightning is very powerful and has a huge glare. Where the lightning is striking, you can see the sky in the background. The color is a light blue where the outer area of the sky is a darker blue especially in the middle of the photo.

3) Shadows

4) This is a photo of a daytime and nighttime scene. It is an example of street art where the artist cleverly uses the shadows of the statue during the night to create art. The beauty of the shadows makes the art come alive. I love the way such simple things can be turned into something so much more beautiful and intriguing.
