Artificial Light Source

The streetlight only lights what is below. The dark sky remains a thick black while the stones glisten. The light shows a path that goes into darkness and it’s unclear where the next light will be.

I love the use of the bright blue/white light bulbs above. The buildings give of multicolor glow. You can see a soft glow on people’s faces but not too bright. I love the magenta and blue mix, with a hint of orange. The buldings seem to go on forever and the street lit by these bulbs never ends.

theme: Cold

I chose this because of the mist mixed with the flowers. The grey gives off the cold and damp feeling. The light just above the trees is very bright and complete contrast. I like how the trees look very tall and thin, and seem to go on forever into the mist. The ground seems crunchy with a little frost, or damp with dew. This photo is pretty and ominous at the same time, just like how the cold can be scary and comforting.

When I first saw this photo I just felt soft. The colors are beautiful but, soft and light. The girl’s dress skirt is the darkest color in the photo. The flowers frame around her and the doors are wide open. I can almost feel the spring breeze coming out of the photo. I associate these soft pinks, blues, and whites as very romantic, as well as flowers.
