Summer

The harsh sunlight brightly washes over the scene.  The colors of the flowers stand bright with the fun reflections of the pin reminding me of the place I always go in the summer.  A mini golfing place right down the street to me has the same wooden boundaries with brightly colored flowers and little metallic pinwheels.  There’s something really fun about the pinwheel, it’s a cheesy addition to the beauty of nature right next to it.

  1. This photo came from a fruit salad blog post at http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/course/salads/top-10-fruit-salad-recipes
  1. Summer
  1. Sunlight from the bright sunny day outside is streaming in through the window and onto the neatly set table, ready with a cool refreshing snack for a break from the heat of the summer day. The warm, bright light, reflects off the cool, clean cutlery and the juicy fruit giving the image a happy, jubilant, and refreshing feeling.

Summer

The sun was setting over the marsh on a beautiful sunny day spent at the beach. I had never felt happier than I did watching this sunset, despite “losing” my keys. I actually locked them in my car. This was the greatest summer ever!

Photo Observation

  1. Found this by doing a Google search
  2.  Theme: Summer!
  3. My favorite place is a beach with crystal blue water. Every time i think of the sand between my toes and the cool blue water I am brought to my happy place. This is the true meaning of happiness. too feel so at peace in one place.

Paradise’s Graveyard

Summer Lightplot

Source: The Odyssey, April 25, 2016 (https://www.theodysseyonline.com/bummer-summer)

Theme: Summer

Description: The beach shows a full azure horizon with a clear blue sky. Above the beach, the sun is shining down with the sand the color of peanuts. There is a single butter-colored skeleton of a starfish nestled in the sand.

Despite how pretty it looks, this single dead starfish makes me ponder about the numerous shells and skeletons that are underneath the sand. It makes me wonder how much ugliness in underneath the beach, and how much time and death had past to make it this beautiful.

Summer

I chose this because when I think of summer I think of the beach and sunsets and no cares. I think this photo really summarizes that all up. I really like the sun is the main focus. I really like how it’s the only light source and how its changing the color of everything. It makes the sky and the water orangey. It has a very calm feeling about the whole picture and I really like that about it.

6 Trees Without Anyone

  1. Location: In front of Lowe Hall, April 11, 2017 at 12:30.
  2. Objective: In front of the hall there are six rows of trees within a square grass lawn. Shadows are shifting towards Hauser Hall like spikes piercing through the grass. There is no people or animal on there during this cold, sunny day.
  3. Subjective: This image is isolating since this usual social place has no one in there. This reminds about how, despite it being sunny, the cold weather can force us all inside. It makes me think that, despite what want to do, the weather still has some control over our choices.

1 This is a photo of my old summer camp that I found at Campmarist.org

2 Summer

3 I chose this photo because one when I think of Summer my first thought is of camp. I think the colors of the boats and the wash of sun light show a lot of warmth. I reminds me of refreshing days on the lake.

Photo Observation

  1. I choose this picture from my phone and it was taken when me and my little sister were at the beach in Rye Playland around August.
  2. Summer
  3. When I think of summer I absolutely think of the beach, mostly because it is my favorite place. Besides the fact I love the beach I choose this picture for other reasons. You can see where the sun is coming from on the right side of the picture because how bright my face is and how much darker my sister’s body is because she is turned away from the light. I can tell the time this photo was taken because of the direction of the sun. When the sun was on the left it was morning and as the day got later it shifted to the right. Considering the sun is on the right side it was most likely late afternoon around 3 or 4. I also love on the the sun makes a reflection os me and my sister in the wet sand. This photo also reminds me of when I would sit by the shore line and admire the rocks and when the sun shine hit the rocks it would shine brightly like crystals. The shinning rocks would be my favorite lighting moment in the summer.
