Paradise’s Graveyard

Summer Lightplot

Description: The beach shows a full azure horizon with a clear blue sky. Above the beach, the sun is shining down with the sand the color of peanuts. There is a single butter-colored skeleton of a starfish nestled in the sand.

Despite how pretty it looks, this single dead starfish makes me ponder about the numerous shells and skeletons that are underneath the sand. It makes me wonder how much ugliness in underneath the beach, and how much time and death had past to make it this beautiful.

Description: Gonna be honest here, I asked myself “what’s spooky?” and my answer to myself was “cemeteries” so I googled that, and found this. I like the lighting a lot, cause the shadows really stretch along the ground in different angles due to the curvature of the 8mm camera lens, but it’s all coming from a single light source. It makes it look pretty surreal and cool and honestly spooky.

Description: This is a picture of a statue found in a graveyard. I personally find both statues and graveyards to be very creepy and uncomfortable which is why I chose this picture. The light is cast on the statue’s face at an angle so the shadows that are cast make it look even creepier.
