Lighting post #4

  1. 2/28/2025, 9:20 pm, hallway in my home
  2. Objective: A dark hallway is illuminated on the left from a slightly open door, shining warm light into the hallway and lighting one side.
  3. Subjective: The dark hallway surrounds me, shrouding me in blackness. I can barely see, barely able to make out my feet making their way towards my room. I feel a wave of anxiety wash over me, the unknown of my surroundings hastening my feet towards safety. Yet, as I move along the hallway, a light starts to emerge in front of me, wading its way out of the slightly open door. My anxiety starts to fade as I am reminded that I am not alone, that the darkness does not last forever. The warm light washes over the hallway, showcasing nothing scarier than wood floor and dusty corners. The warm light reminds me that joy and life exists and surrounds me.
