Lighting Observation #4

  1. 2/27/25, 6:30 pm, Looking down the pathway to the Hofstra Museum of Art
  2. Objective: An orange, pink sunset frames the arch with the Museum of Art sign. The sky is still bright but the sunset backlights the pathway with a hazy glow.
  3. Subjective: The orange, pink haze of sunset glows against the backdrop of campus. As daylight fades students walk underneath the archway to the Museum of Art. The sun still lights up the sky but the backlit view enacts tunnel vision from all who look down the pathway. In just a few minutes it will be gone but color continues to shape and change the stream of light against the brick buildings.
