Lighting Observation #6

  1. Wednesday, March 12th, 6:45pm. Outside the Student Center
  2. The sun setting without any obstruction
  3. As I walked outside, I noticed the deep orange glow that encapsulated the cement beneath me. It was “golden hour,” or the time of day when the sun casts a warm blanket of light across anything and everything it touches. Looking up, I was shocked to see a perfectly round ball of fiery orange-red hanging low in the sky. It was completely unobstructed, not covered by any buildings or branches, and it hadn’t dipped low enough to be cut off by the horizon yet. The wholeness of the circle created a beautiful display of color and light.
