FALL
I wanted to try to recreate something I’ve experienced a lot which is driving home from rehearsal in October or November just as the sun is setting and the feeling of just the sun directly in your eyes the whole 15 minute drive home. It also feels like the whole world is lit up in gold, especially paired with the changing leaves.1- Toplight @50 2- Sidelight FULL R15 3- Sidelight FULL L151 36 degrees medium focus 4- Sidelight FULL L193 w/ dots gobo soft focus
SPRING
I wanted to try to create a stained glass effect, with hardly any other lights except for the window. I added the cyc for some depth, and I thought it could maybe be a fireplace or something else. 1- FULL R54 @ 26 degrees w/ dots gobo sharp focus 2- FULL 36 degrees soft focus 3- FULL L192 @ 26 dots gobo medium focus 4- FULL R68 26 degrees breakup gobo sharp focus CYC full R21
SUMMER
To try to show the heat I turned on the haze for the lights, I had two sidelights at 70 degrees just to add to the atmosphere. The top lights are really intense and the guy is almst glowing, also adding to the heat.1- left front light FULL R51 2- front light FULL L151. 3- right front light FULL R1 4- left side light FULL 70 degrees 5- right side light FULL L201 70 degrees. CYC – full, custom color
I wanted something soft, not a lot of sharp focus on the lights. I didn’t want it all to just be white so I added some blues and pinks and purples to give variation, I was inspired by an impresionist painting of snow I saw at the Boston MFA. CYC- full R361. 1- FULL R54 70 degrees. 2- 50% R58 70 degrees dots gobo soft focus 3- FULL L201 70 degrees soft focus 4- FULL R58 70 degrees dots gobo soft focus 5- FULL R68 70 degrees soft focus
