1st Lighting Observation

February 3rd, 2026 – 1:14 am – Cherry Lane living room
Myself and one of my housemates were sitting in our living room late at night. We had a few different sets of fairy lights on, but no larger lamps or overhead lights, so the room was pretty dimly lit. There was a set of star shaped fairy lights on the wall and another set inside of our fire place, both set to a warm white light. There was a final set of fairy lights attached all around the perimeter of the ceiling set to an orange color.
The overall mood was warm and comforting and cozy. With all three sets of lights being set to warm tones/colors and no larger lighting, the room was dim and somewhat sleepy/relaxing. Having my housemate and I in this lighting in a space we already consider home, sitting on our couches and with blankets, just made the vibe relaxed, cozy, and more loving. We could be talking about anything, but there would always be an undertone of comfort and support, just from the way the light was making the room a more “warm” space.
