Lighting Moment #1

  1. February 2nd, 2026 – 5:30pm – Estabrook dorm
  2. I was looking out of my dorm window at the library. The sun was almost set but not fully so the entire sky was a deep blue. The little bit of light left at 5:30pm felt amazing due to the 4pm sunsets we’ve had for months. The sky was clear making the library look brightly lit yet warm against the sky.
  3. The deep blue of the sky was the kind you can’t capture on camera because your phone lightens it automatically. The bright lights on the library stuck out against the clear sky creating a stark contrast between the blue and the white. Although the sight was dramatic, it felt warm and cozy instead of mysterious and dark. It created a cold, yet cozy mood by being inside while looking out at the view.
