3rd Lighting Observation – KS

02/15/2026 – 11:34pm – Hofstra University next to Vander Poel Hall
The light I am talking about is from one of the lamp posts on the Hofstra University Campus. Specifically, the one next to the stairs between Constitution Hall and Vander Poel Hall. This light comes across as extremely bright and white. Additionally, since it was nighttime, the light from the lamp post reveals the snow that was falling at the time in its range of glow.
The light from the lamp post looked almost radioactive with its brightly shining white light against the night and the trees and the dorm. The snow falling made the light look even more magical, like a portal to another world. It made it feel like I was walking into Narnia.
