Lighting Observation #3

February 20th, 2026 – 3:10pm – Psibrary
The fluorescent lights of the Psibrary shine down on the whole room from above. Every corner of the floor is brightly it. One light has a big stain on it.
This light feels frigid cold despite the eternal sweltering heat of this small room. It shines with a stark, blinding brightness. Everyone seems to divert their eyes from the ceiling and refrain from looking up. The stark shadows cast by the ledges of the bookshelves create an eerie darkness on the aged books sitting tucked in the back of each shelf. The difference between the harsh brightness of the room and the melancholy veil of shadow draping the books is a very interesting result of common lighting.
