8th Lighting Observation

  1. April 1st, 2026 – 3:37 pm – My Room
  2. I was sitting on my bean bag in my room doing homework. The natural light coming in through my window was soft but still bright enough to fill the space with a slightly warm tone. Given where the sun was at this point in the day, it was casting a shadow of my windows onto the opposite wall which was cool to see. Without the artificial lights on and I felt more relaxed despite doing a somewhat stressful task.
  3. The primary light source was the sunlight coming through my window, which was a warm hue. The big shadow of my window frame on the opposite wall added some cooler contrast, but it was still a soft shadow. The mix was subtle, but it made the room feel more cozy and comfortable rather than focused (which I think is how it would’ve felt if I had my lamps on).
