Final Lighting Observation

  1. April 28th, 2026 – 2:45 pm – Emily Lowe Quad
  2. The lighting on the Emily Lowe Hall Quad was super cool today! It was cloudy but every now and then the sun would pop out, so it kept going from cool toned and overcast light to fully gold sunlight. There weren’t really harsh shadows and it wasn’t too bright until the sun came out.
  3. The primary source is the sun filtered through the clouds, which created ambient light with no strong direction, sort of like a fill light. This softness paired with the nice temperature made the quad feel calm. When the sun did come out it was pretty sudden, but the warmth compared to the cloud-covered cool light was very refreshing, and it made the quad suddenly feel more fun.
