4) The street light produces a very prominent and bright area of light on the brick wall. The intense darkness that encompasses the light source uncovers and exposes the brick, establishing and emphasizing a mysterious energy in the image; no one knows where the wall ends or begins due to the concentration of the light source. Rather than choosing a spotlight on stage to demonstrate a single artificial source of light, it’s interesting to see the same effect that spotlights have on stage in daily life. This light draws so much attention to that small area of what could be a rather massive wall.
