4) DESCRIPTION: The person in the photo’s focus is backlit by a light source invisible to the viewer. Beams of light cut through the haze that adds an eerie feeling to the image. The light is bright white, leaving the figure colorless, just a shadow.

DESCRIPTION : I chose this photo because I like how the single light source seems even brighter as it is reflected off the metal water bottle. It makes the light feel so much more powerful. I also like how the shadows of the water bottle help define its shape in space, giving it dimension and life.

4) DESCRIPTION: The room is being lit by (at least) two light sources, but the desk lamp is uniquely separate from the others, creating a small pool of light on the desk.

DESCRIPTION: The Light emitting from the blade washes over the figure in a bright blue haze encompassing everything around it. The figure stands stoically gripping the hilt as if he is facing a dangerous threat, or possibly an ally.

3. DESCRIPTION: As the world outside grows darker, the piercing white light from my lamp becomes harsher and more intense. It bounces off the paper on my desk back towards me, reminding me that I have a long night ahead. The blackness of my room tries to consume me, with this lamp being my savior. The world wants to sleep, but this bright bulb leaves me restless.

3) DESCRIPTION: The lighting in this photo is very dramatic and leaves you wondering what is happening in the room that this person is wandering into. The red light is practically spilling out of the door frame and onto the the individual walking hesitantly through the entrance as if someone doused him with a bucket of red paint. The color red creates an ominous and alarming glow, yet it is not intense enough to deter curiosity.
