Shadow
Photo by Peter Charney Searching for a good image for the theme “Shadow,” made me realize that I really don’t use a lot of shadows in my photography. I did find this image, which I think is a really interesting … Continue reading
Sonic Shadow
Theme: Shadow Source: https://500px.com/photo/1027737/untitled-by-matteo-angelotti I love the perspective on this. The way the semi-ovals change in size reminds me of a sonic boom, but if looked at long enough, many things can be found in the cone-shaped path of light. Because … Continue reading

Light Observation #5
1) 3/19 11:30pm. Ohio River, Cincinnati, Ohio. 2) Cincinnati skyline reflecting in the water. 3) One of the best parts of the USITT trip to Cincinnati was one night when we walked a bridge and crossed over into Kentucky. We … Continue reading
Single Light Source
Photo by Peter Charney To me this accurately represents a single light source because as far as I can tell, there is only a single light hitting the flower from the top, and a little bit behind it. I love … Continue reading
One Source of Light

Light Observation
The other night after a party I passed out at my friends’ house in their spare room. They refer to it as “the palagio” because it is a very elegant room. The next morning, I woke up to sunlight streaming … Continue reading
Photo Observation
I like this picture because the warm light coming in through the window of the house is very comforting. It reminds me of a picture i took of my house this past summer. The single light source of … Continue reading
Light Observation: The wifi router
The wi-fi router on my ceiling sometimes changes colors at night, and as sensible as I like to consider myself, that little change from blue to green on that light panel, no larger than a floss-box always creeps me out. … Continue reading
Single Light Source: What is he hiding?
I chose this picture because it reminded me of the lecture on Stanley McCandless. He said that to make stage lighting look natural, one side of the actor’s face will have to be lit with warm light and … Continue reading
