Light Observation #3

  1. 2/17/25 – 8:23pm – Westborough, MA
  2. The Christmas lights on the trees in the center of the rotary in my hometown. Specifically, as I am driving around them.
  3. As I enter the rotary, I see the expansive arms of the currently barren maple trees approaching. They are sprinkled in warm-toned Christmas lights, creating a beautiful display in the center of town. As my car gets closer, I look up to see them now overhead. The circular motion that I am driving in makes it look like they are also spinning above me, like a blanket of fireflies all moving in unison against the darkness of the night sky. While this moment only lasts a few seconds in reality, the mystical feeling of this moment makes an otherwise ordinary trip feel much more enchanting.
