Photo Observation #7

This photo is from a Wingstop commercial that aired sometime in 2018.

Theme: Advertisement/Desire.

Wingstop is clear and uncomplicated–people know exactly what they want from this restaurant. For this reason, it shouldn’t be surprising that the presentation of their food follows suit. Under the most simple lighting configuration, Wingstop has never looked better. The bright white, single-source light takes on the likeness of an old-school desk lamp. It doesn’t allow for an airbrushed, flawless look, as this would take away from the perfectly crispy and fried skin of the wings and french fries. The customer has the opportunity to see all the texture that is key to this meal, topped with the icy-cold Sprite waiting there to quench their thirst. The ad’s primitive lighting presents the wings as they are: direct, affordable, and no frills. Sounds like a win for both buyer AND seller to me.
