- This photo caught my eye because of the perspective of the image. The small person versus the vast ocean and sand. I Also liked how the colors were darker, like the people were walking the beach during a day that could pour rain. I was not able to create the sharp divide between the sand and the water, so I focused on where the bright and dark spots were instead. I used a front top light (full, 50 degrees) with the gel color “Full CT Blue” I also used a back top light that’s angled towards the person, with the gel color “No Color Blue”. Finally I used top and bottom cyc lights to mimic the colors of the water – the bottom cyc colors was an azure blue (more blue than green) while the top cyc lights were a deeper teal blue.
