Four Seasons

1) A Fall sunset in New England

  • Top of cyc (Full, Light Red Gel – R26), Bottom of Cyc (Full, Golden Amber – R21), 3 downstage top lights (All deepstraw – R15; Left top at 75% and middle and right at 50%), Two low downstage sides (Both Golden Amber – R21 at 50%)
  • The lighting reminds me of a fall sunset in New England because I think of the trees that are deep reds, oranges, and yellows which blend nicely with sunsets in the fall

2) Spring sunrise in a Gothic Cathedral

  • Turned the ambient light too low because I thought if we are in a Gothic Cathedral not all of the light is going to enter the building. It reminds me of a cool morning with a clean blue sky and warm sun.
  • 2 low downstage sides (Left Full CT Blue – L201 at full & Right deepstraw at full), 3 downstage top lights (Left and Middle Parry Sky Blue – R68 at full & Right deepstraw – R15 at +5%), and bottom cyc ( Golden Amber – R21 at Full)

3) Noon on a hot Summer day in the Caribbean

  • Top of cyc (Full, Primary Blue – R80), Bottom of Cyc (+5%, Parry Sky Blue – R68), 3 downstage top lights (Left + Right Full CT Blue – L201 at full & Middle Deepstraw – R15 with the breakup gobo at full), Two low downstage sides (Both No Color Blue – R60 at Full with the breakup gobo)
  • I imagined a blue sky by the beach, the gobo acting as the sand at the beach

4) Winter afternoon in Canada

  • Two low downstage sides (Both Special Lavender – R54 at Full with the breakup gobo), Two middle sidelights (Left Full CT Blue – L201 at full & Right Primary Blue – R80 at full), One downstage top light on the left (Full CT Blue – L201 at full)
  • Winter reminds me of white plus cool tones like light purple. I wanted it to look snowy and blurry out so I used the breakout gobo again.
