- Theme – cold
- The first thing I thought of when I heard the theme was “cold” was this movie. The Holdovers was a movie filmed that had a few scenes filmed in my high school in 2023. The movie takes place in the winter but even the shots that take place inside feel cold. Usually in movies the indoor scenes are filmed with warm, cozy lighting, but this one wasn’t. It was purposefully cold the entire time no matter where the characters were. In this scene if they had turned the lights in the entire mood of the scene would have changed. Those lights are very yellow and warm. The choice to keep them off was intentional, and important. It kept the colors to mainly brown and gray. Very depressing and cold.
