Lighting Moment #4

  1. March 1st, 2026, The Playhouse
  2. I was on stage left helping with the flies during a cue-to-cue. There were footlights and lights on the side of the stage that shown directly to where I was with the flies. With the brightness and the many colors, it made it very difficult to see the colored spikes that we needed to find onstage and on the ropes.
  3. This happened for hours. It was so bright that when you turned around it took a minute for your eyes to adjust. It also made us basically color blind due to all of the colors mixing together. It was much more noticeable than other lighting because it was so bright and colorful that it drowned out all other colors.
