Lighting Observation 10

Small Green light on the corner of an electrical box on a telephone pole
This light while a bright and pleasing color contrasts with its purpose. This light indicates danger which is rare for the color of green, it means this electrical box is on and contact with it would therefore cause serious harm. However, the common knowledge for green’s typical message is one associated with the concept of “Go”, or any indication of acceptance, welcoming for that matter. It was fascinating to me to see this sharp color of green strangely indicating a warning of danger to people passing by. Especially in the way that the light cuts through the world even in the brightness of midday sunlight.
