- I chose this picture because I felt that the warmth of the light gives a good contrast to the harsh light I associate with Winter. When I think of Spring lighting, I think of a warm light that the Earth will want to absorb, or a light that invites life. I find this to be the opposite if the lighting I associate with Winter, which is almost like a light that is being reflected off of the Earth, not giving life at all, but almost taking it away. The warm light that reflects pink from the clouds captures Spring perfectly, and as the Sun is setting it almost looks like the flowers are leaning towards it as if to get as much life as possible out of that light until it greets them again at sunrise.
