Four Seasons- Saniy Coates

1) Fall sunset in Vermont

When I was looking up pictures of Vermont, I noticed that the sunsets were kinda dark but it was hard to replicate because sometimes sunsets are never really only one color. So I decided to lean more into the dark orange and make it look as if we are at the end cycle of the sunset.

Lights used- R27, R45, Orange R18, Yellow R10, White

2) Spring sunrise in a Gothic Cathedral

I used this picture more for how I wanted the positioning of the lights (not necessarily for the color). Since cathedrals have such big windows, the light coming through it would also be very powerful and in large amounts. I did not want to use too bright of an orange since it would have made the lighting look artificial so I stuck to a middle ground of orange light

Lights (and gobos) used- R12, White with a window gobo

3) Noon on a hot summer day in Hawaii

I went based off of the beaches that are prevalent in Hawaii. It was pretty hard to depict the sand in the right way but as for the water, I found that the cyc lights are the most helpful to show the background water.

Lights used- Cyan 25%, R14, Blue, Azure 50%

4) Winter afternoon in Chicago

Since the background for the stage lighting is so dim at times, I decided to put the ambient at medium. But then, it caused the lights to dim when I would put them in so I turned up the intensity. In Chicago, it usually is cold and some spot of snow during this time so I wanted to make the sky look like a nice tone of VERY white blue as it tends to normally look during snow season.
