Photo Observation #10 – Four Seasons

  1. Fall Sunset in Vermont

When I think of fall sunsets in Vermont I think of all the light reflecting and highlighting the oranges and yellows of the leaves on the trees. Yet the sun is always still so bright casting shadows on the trees and through the mountains.

Lights used: R21, full with a breakup gobo. R15, full. R21, full. R15, full with a breakup gobo. R55, full.

2. Spring Sunrise in a Gothic Cathedral

I think of sunrises as still vert dark when coming through windows with gothic architecture. Its mixes of cool and warm tones, with very light color as well.

3. Noon on a Hot Summer day in Hawaii

This was the one I had the most trouble with. I didn’t want it to just be bright yellow light. I don’t think I really succeeded at getting the hot summer vibe.

4. Winter Afternoon in Chicago.

I wanted all the colors I used to be cool and symmetrical. I feel like Chicago in the winter to me is very gray and colorless.
