Photo Observation #6

  1. March 7, 2025, 11:58 AM – Museum of Broadway
  2. Theme — Spring
  3. This picture is of three costumes from the musical Hair. This a very 60s-70s hippie musical and all of the florals and colors on the display remind me of spring. Plus I listened to the soundtrack so much last spring that the two will always be associated together in my brain.

Photo Observation #6

  1. 3/24/22 8:34 AM Central Texas
  2. Spring
  3. An early morning sun shines in through large windows to the left of the cafeteria towards my friend and stuffed animal. I chose this image because of what the sunlight feels like filling the room in the mornings in the spring months contrasted by the fluorescent lights that filled the room during the winter. It felt better to be awake early when the lights were not baring down on us from above

Photo Observation #6

  1. March 31st, 2024 – 5pm– A few streets away from my house
  2. Theme – Spring
  3. This is a photo of my dog sitting in front of some tulips. It was taken at the end of March when it is normally super rainy and grey but this day it was especially bright. Because of how bright it was the colors of the tulips really stand out against the green of the bushes and my dog’s black fur.

Photo Observation #6- Spring

1) March 24th, 2026 at 4:47 pm (Laundry room)- Spring

2) A few hours after my theater class, I decided to go to laundry to wash my clothes. As I was walking in, I could see the bright sun beaming through the window and lighting up the whole laundry room. But when I turned around, I saw a pair of shoes sitting on the laundry table and I loved the way that the light was shining off of the front of the shoes.

3) When I think of spring, I think of softer colors and an overall sense of “Turning over a new leaf/starting fresh”. Especially after being in many grueling months of severe cold weather, it is nice to see that spring is approaching not too far from now. As mentioned previously, the sun, to me, represents getting over the previous chapter of your life and starting a new one. As the semester gets closer and closer to the summer, this new season will leave me with many questions but also answers that I will find out once the time comes.

Macalester College, MN – early May

the lighting is bright and saturated, and naturally saturates the world around the lighting with it- specifically the blue sky and the green grass

6th Photo Theme: Spring – Mia Gozinsky

  1. March 25th, 2026 – 5:43Pm – Outside Of Library
  2. Theme: Spring
  3. This photo was taken because it was the first sign that spring has finally sprung in awhile and it made me happy to finally see the beauty the campus flowers  really bring life and fresh air to the vibe of the campus and made me feel happines and joy. The way the sun reflected off them with a soft glow really gave it more life.

Photo Observation #6

  1. June 6, 2018 – on a camping trip
  2. Theme – spring
  3. This photo was taken on a camping trip in the evening during the golden hour of sunlight. It was a little chilly outside because it was still spring, but the lighting was very warm and everything in the picture was colorful. The lighting source (the sun) is prominent in the back upper right corner and the sides of their faces.

lighting observation

march 23, library, 8:11

the bright florescent lights in one of the study rooms

the lighting is stark and jarring, and very harsh. very serious, fits the intention of the space (studying) well

lighting observation

January 29th, Classroom in Breslin Hall, around 3pm

the sunlight shines through the dirty-ish windows which creates distinct visible rays of light in the room

the light breaks through the windows and pushes its way out, feels very calming and intentional rather then a mistake or coincidence.

The sun light shines through the trees as it sets, it’s golden/orange tone
