Photo Observation

I found this photo of a girl online holding a light bulb at different angles, and how the angle effected the photo. This photo was a clear demonstration of how when a single source light is only coming from one side, it completely loses the other side of the girl’s face.

lighting observation 3/27

Picture I took outside of C-Square with the single artificial light being the sidewalk light cutting through the tree to the pavement.

I enjoyed the sharp shape of the beams from the high angle, almost like a sun in the darkness.

03/28 Lighting Moment

This photo is of my cat lounging on the couch during the day while the sun was shining in perfectly through the window for optimal sunbathing. I love the way that her eyes shine from the sun and her white fur is strikingly white. Lighting Moments – 03:28:24

Photo Observation 3/28

I took this photo on 3/27/24, of my bedside “sunset” lamp. The single source artificial light is reflected off of a hanging disco ball on my wall, cascading light across the room.

Journal Entry #7

The theme is Single Source Artificial Light

This is a photo of a lamp illuminating a room with a plug-in socket, window covers, a shelf, a pillow, and a bed beside it. The lamp evokes a solid yellow light that allows one to see clearly when one gets ready for bed and to see where one is going. The lighting of the room is great as it simple yet effective.

Journal Entry #6

The Theme is Spring

The trees cast their shadows because of the sun, and it covers the flowers with solar power. The spring makes it fresh and vibrant as it allows the earth to be given character and makes everything new and cool. Not everything lasts but it’s the time we have that makes the spring so valuable.

Q&A: Hall of Mirrors

The Theme is Bizarre.

This photo got me in a sense of dread that put me on edge. I don’t know if there is a person who will attack me or that I am alone in my own fear of getting hurt. The trauma it breeds is horrifying as no one knows what comes next as the lighting makes all the more scarier knowing that nothing is scarier than fear.

Journal Entry #4

The Theme is Night Life

This photo is a reminder that crazy nights happen for a reason or not, as not all things will go according to plan. I was drawn by its flashing lights all over the place that illuminated the setting. A big party that will be as epic as it is unpredictable.

Journal Entry #3

The Theme is Cold

The snow in its darkest times represents the fear of the unknown; when the sun rises, it becomes more tolerable and heartwarming as the fear is gone. Snow represents the life of it all knowing that everything will be alright.
