  2. OBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION: Constitution RSR office window
  3. SUBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION: I look up from my computer to see this imense light in a sea of darkness. The sky was black and I saw a white light shining as a common reminder to let my own light shine in the midst of the darkness that surrounds me.

 DATE – TIME – LOCATION : March 3, 2022 at 3:28 pm, My Kitchen Window

 

OBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION : The sun shines through the window and reflects off a plastic bottle and onto the white countertop. 

 

SUBJECTIVE DESCRIPTION : The light from the window reflects from the plastic bottle onto the white countertop creating a warm feeling. The light fills the room even more effectively through the angling of the bottle. The use of light and white color makes the space seem even larger than it is. There is a sense of loftiness added to the atmosphere. The bottle makes the light feel three dimensional with the way it projects it across the space.

ATTRIBUTES: Photo I found on the internet

THEME: Nightlife

DESCRIPTION: I chose this photo because of the cool tones from the blue mixing with the warmer red tones both coming together and reflecting off of the arms of the people dancing. The black background also helps to emphasize the colors of the light reflecting off of the people and the disco balls in the background also help to reflect more of the light while not stealing the focus from the people.

3) THEME: NIGHTLIFE

4) DESCRIPTION: The water is still and dark, reflecting the bright and busy multicolored lights shining from the city skyline in the background. Though the park is quiet, illuminated only by warm street lamps, its emptiness is really just buzzing anticipation of the rush of nightlife to come, which is seen in the bright lights glowing from the skyline. The night sky is brightened with the skyline’s radiating shine; beauty is created by light pollution. That’s the wonder of nightlife, though: a good time can happen anywhere, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city or in a warm, dimly lit park.

Description: I chose this picture because of the neon glow in the background. The electric blue on the left contrasting the fiery red on the right met with the stark white break from Spencer’s fan work together to create a cohesive lighting story. I also really like how you can see the light bouncing off each one of us in different ways, and I think it is a good representation of night life.

Theme: Night Life

Description: I chose this image because when I think of Night Life I think of harsh neon lights as well as a dirty or grimy aspect and I think this image captures both. The pink/magenta is complementary to the green in terms of complementary lights but visually the specific hues of green and pink used do not mesh well and create an eerie feeling. The interspersed black lights change the punk rock images on the walls from normal drawings to illuminated scary glowing figures which add to the effect. The pink lights also emphasize the dirty and wetness of the street which adds to the idea of night life

Description: I chose this because I think the really bright lights from the screens and reflecting off the ground perfectly display night life. The many colors across the scene combined with the number of people in the picture really remind me of a party, especially the way each of the colors reflects off the ground. Those vibrant, but blurry reflections really embody the lights in a party or a club to me

THEME : Night Life


DESCRIPTION : I chose this photo because I found the use of shadows extremely intriguing. I feel like in most instances, light is defined by how bright it is, but I love how the light in this photo is defined mostly by the darkness. When I think of the night time, I think of the unknown. This photo has all the clear characteristics of night with the cooler toned colors and isolated light sources. But the existence of shadows adds another dimension of the unknown characteristic that resembles the sensation of night so well.

Night Life Picture

  1. This is a picture of a girl that was on my “fyp” in a Grinch costume. I do not know her account.
  2. Theme: Night Life
  3. Although there is very little “life” depicted in this picture, it still is a good representative of night life. This is the simple depiction of night life when you live in a suburb. The only light that is shining on the person laying in the middle of the road is a street lamp. It is also easy to see how there is a dark area in between the two street lamps in this picture. The white light shining on the ground gives a good contrast to the dark silhouettes of the trees and the night sky.
