2) Theme- Cold
3) I was contemplating whether to go outside or not since there would most likely be snow on the ground. As I was waking outside to get food, I saw in the corner a little tree with snow on it. But what really caught my eye was the light shining directly on it. The use of this bright white made it look a lot more colder than it actually was.
February 24 2026 – afternoon – My dorm
Objective: Sunlight enters my bedroom through the partially closed blinds. It hits the wall and creates a pattern. Dust particles are floating through the light (My room is clean btw 🙂
Subjective: The light feels calm and nostalgic. The golden lines of light is a reminder that the day is eventually coming to an end. It also gave a lonely kind of mood.
1) January 31st, 2026, on a walk around Hofstra University
2) The moonlight as the sky just starts to turn dark shines softly on a tree outstretched below. To contrast this light is a string of street lamps shaped like curved “T”s, exclaiming a harsh, structured, and green-yellow light onto the ground below.
3) The lighting from the moon shines down on the Earth and the trees, although the light that hits the Earth is easily overpowered by the sickly, manmade lights along the road. The moon represents serenity, and peace, while the streetlamps exclaim of efficiency and removal of all things that make us remotely human. The sickly light has no heart, no soul, no meaning. On the contrary, the moonlight represents a deeper meaning than even ourselves: nature.
